Is it expensive to resurface concrete? and How much do you charge?

Keep in mind that special prep work—like tile or carpet removal, extensive grinding, or working on steps, vertical surfaces, or pool coping—may add to the cost.

Do you have a minimum charge?

Yes, we do. Our minimum project cost is $2,595, which covers the time, materials, and expertise required to ensure a high-quality installation.

Every resurfacing project involves careful preparation, application, and finishing to create a durable and long-lasting surface. This minimum ensures that every job—no matter the size—receives the same attention to detail and craftsmanship that we’re known for.

How do you fix drainage problems or standing water?

While we can’t guarantee a complete fix for drainage issues, we can help improve water flow by adding strategic layers of Quartz Coat. This can help redirect water and minimize pooling, giving your surface a smoother, more functional finish.

What do you do with expansion joints?

When resurfacing your concrete, we remove any existing plastic or wood expansion joints and replace them with a flexible compound that allows for natural movement. To ensure a seamless, natural-looking finish, we top it off with sand, blending it perfectly with the surrounding surface.

How many patterns can I choose from?

Your pattern and color options are virtually limitless—especially if your existing concrete is in great shape! But what if your slab has cracks? No problem! We can incorporate natural cracking into the design, creating a seamless, organic look that enhances the character of your surface.

That’s the beauty of a hand-tooled overlay rather than a stamped one. Hand-carved patterns offer more flexibility, allowing for future movement in the concrete without disrupting the design. Unlike rigid stamp patterns that can highlight cracks over time, our approach ensures a custom, durable, and natural finish that stands the test of time.

Is the concrete overlay coating slippery?

Not at all! Our standard Quartz Coat texture, applied at about ¼” thick, is designed to be skid-resistant and highly durable. We hand-texture each surface to provide excellent traction, making it a great option for driveways, patios, and pool decks.

If you prefer a smoother finish, we can customize the texture to your liking. However, keep in mind that smooth surfaces can become slippery when wet—so we require a signed waiver to ensure customers are aware of this choice. Additionally, the type of sealer you choose can impact the final smoothness of your surface.
